It looks like the US will soon have its hands on Samsung’s illustrious 5.3″ phonetablet. Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Note will hit AT&T February 19, with pre-orders starting February 5th. The Galaxy Note will run you $299 on contract and will be available in carbon blue and ceramic white.

The behemoth “not a phone, not a tablet” Galaxy Note will be coming to Canada soon, and already has its own landing page where you can sign up for updates on its arrival. This thing has definitely been making the rounds as of late. First we heard about it landing on AT&T, then the possibility of it coming to Verizon and Sprint, and now our brethren to the north are getting it. It won’t be long before we find out just where a 5.3″ device fits into this mobile ecosystem, and whether or not the demand for one will be as big as the hands needed to hold it.

The Samsung Galaxy Note, in all of its 5.3″ glory, had a strong presence at CES this year. The announcement of it coming stateside on AT&T had many giddy with anticipation, while others wondered who in the world would want such a large “not quite a phone, not quite a tablet.” Whether or not this device appeals to you doesn’t diminish its intrigue and it seems other US carriers are now taking interest. According to an “industry analyst” that spoke with the Examiner, the Galaxy Note will definitely be available to Sprint and Verizon subscribers, possibly under a different name:

“It will possibly be called the Galaxy Journal. But it is certainly coming to both Sprint and Verizon during the first half of the year,” said Los Angeles Industry Analyst Paul Mueller.

Today at CES, AT&T just kept announcing device after device, from its seemingly bottomless treasure trove of Android booty. Instead of spamming you with post after post of AT&T Android devices, I’ll just put them all in this post here. We’ll take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note, Exhilirate, and Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD. We’ll show you Sony’s first LTE device the Xperia Ion, and a couple of Pantech devices. They’re all running Android, and they’re all on AT&T, so stay tuned after the break for what each device has to offer.

Samsung recently told us that the Galaxy Note would be coming to the U.S. sometime this year, but which carrier would be getting it remained a mystery. There were rumors of AT&T getting the Note and we now have some compelling evidence to suggest so. Apparently an accessory maker sent out some press emails outing the AT&T Galaxy Note, as they advertised being the first to carry accessories for the device. Of course that statement was soon retracted (and someone probably lost their job) but I’m now pretty confident the AT&T Galaxy Note exists.
