Draw-Something--008

Zynga has reportedly closed down Draw Something studio OMGPOP and laid off all of its staff just 14 months after it was acquired in a $180 million deal. OMGPOP released its Draw Something sequel back in April, but it appears it wasn’t the success the company hoped it would be.

Vine-Android

Vine, the six-second video sharing service from Twitter, is finally available on Android, more than four months after it made its debut on iOS. The app is ready to download now from Google Play, and it gives users the ability to share their clips with the 13 million people already using the service.

The app also has a new feature that’s unique to Android.

UNOZ

Gameloft, in partnership with Mattel, has released a new version of its extremely popular UNO game that’s focused on online multiplayer. The new game is called UNO & Friends, and it provides users with customizable cross-platform muliplayer games that are are heaps of fun — and best of all, they are absolutely free to play.

Huawei-Ascend-P6

Huawei has begun teasing its new flagship Ascend P6, an Android-powered smartphone that “will WOW all consumers,” on its official Facebook page. The company doesn’t give away any information regarding the handset’s specifications, but it does plenty of boasting about its build quality.

HTC-First

UPDATE: EE has confirmed to Cult of Android that Facebook has indeed killed plans to bring the HTC First to the U.K. The statement is at the bottom of this post.

Plans to bring the HTC First to the United Kingdom have reportedly been axed following the handset’s dismal launch in the United States. Sources claim that it was Facebook that killed the plans, rather then HTC or any of the European carrier partners.
