Apple’s App Store is widely considered the king of mobile marketplaces — even Android fanatics will admit that it offers a greater selection of high-quality apps and games. But it’s Google Play that’s currently seeing the most growth, according to the latest data from app analytics firm Distimo, while the App Store enjoys more than four times as much revenue.

If anyone can continually compliment our cans with tantalizing toilet treats, it’s the Japanese. Introducing the Satis: a smartphone controlled toilet that does everything from power washing your bum to playing “I like big butts” on its built-in speaker system.

Kindle FreeTime is just for kids.

If you’re buying your kid(s) a Kindle tablet this Christmas, then it may be worth checking out Kindle FreeTime, a new, “all-you-can-eat” subscription service from Amazon that’s designed specifically for those aged between three and eight. It provides unlimited access to apps, books, games, movies, and TV shows that are all curated for “age-appropriateness,” with content from the likes of DC Comics, Disney, Marvel, Nickelodeon, and more.

As long as sports have existed, so have sports-related injuries. One injury in particular that has managed to capture the spotlight over recent years, is of course, the concussion. Head injuries, particularly concussions, have become a serious issue in both professional and youth sports.

Straight out of the playbook of my wife’s life, Google nailed a commercial depicting real-world use of the Google Search app. If I had a dollar for every time one of my kids mentioned a school project or activity last minute, I’d be enjoying a Mai Tai in Hawaii.
