Nexus 5

Google has just launched the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 tablet in eight new countries of Europe, much to the joy of the fans in the region. People in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal and Sweden will now be able to pick up the premier Nexus devices directly from the local Play Store, thus avoiding the trouble of importing the smartphone from a neighboring country.

Oppo N1

Chinese manufacturer Oppo is reportedly looking to launch a ‘mini’ variant of the popular N1 handset, which was well renowned for its rotating camera. This new smartphone will reportedly feature a 5 inch 1080p display in place of the 5.9 inch display, so it’s quite a lot smaller in size, but still nowhere near to being considered a mini device.

HTC One

HTC One smartphones in Europe are now receiving the much awaited Android 4.4.2 update after the first update was pulled by the manufacturer some weeks ago citing difficulties with the ROM. The change log shows that the update brings support for additional WiFi routers, indicating that the initial rollout had issues with WiFi that needed fixing.

Amazon

Amazon’s much-anticipated Apple TV competitor will finally launch next month, according to a new report from The Wall Street Journal. The device will offer incentives to members of the Amazon Prime subscription service, sources claim, and it will be powered by a custom version of Android.

Sony Xperia Z2

Sony has clarified that the supply issues of the Xperia Z2 handset will not affect its launch. This means that the smartphone will go up for sale on the 11th of April as originally scheduled.
