Google’s Play apps for Android are all getting a fancy new icon. The makeover brings a consistent look to the entire the entire family, and users can expect to see them on their Android devices in the coming weeks.

It seems not even Android can save BlackBerry’s falling hardware business.

The Canadian company has confirmed that it sold just 600,000 smartphones during its fourth fiscal quarter, despite the launch of Priv last November. The new handset clearly hasn’t been the savior many fans were hoping for, then — but we’re not surprised.

Nintendo’s first smartphone game is finally available to download in the U.S. and Europe, two weeks after making its debut in Japan.

Miitomo, which lets you create your very own Mii and socialize in a virtual world, is free to play on both Android and iOS.

Google’s stock Calculator app for Android is now available from the Play Store, and it comes with a brand new Android Wear app that gives users the ability to perform simple calculations on their wrist without pulling out their phone.

Those on the WhatsApp Messenger beta track will notice a new version is ready to install, with Quick Reply functionality sitting pretty at the top of its release notes.

As always, it’s only for those brave enough to live life on the beta bleeding edge. But WhatsApp beta v2.12.260 might actually be worth the risk of downloading test software.
