The long-awaited Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One has started its rollout on the Chinese dual-SIM version (M7C-DUC). It is rumored that the international versions — including those in the U.S. — could also receive this update sometime later on today day.

Sony is pushing out an update for its Xperia ZL, including the North American unlocked LTE model, bumping it up to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean — the latest Android release. If you wish to update your handset, you’ll have to do so using Sony’s PC Companion app for PC, or Sony Bridge for Mac.

One of the highlights of Samsung’s London Premiere event that took place last night was the unveiling of the South Korean company’s first dual-OS tablet, the ATIV Q. As the name suggests, the product is part of Samsung’s ATIV line, which primarily has nothing to do with Android. However, on this occasion the goal was to “marry” both Android and Windows together to create the mother of all computing experiences.

HTC has kept us in the dark about its plans to push Android 4.2.2 to the One, while recent rumors have suggested that the update could be rolling out soon. According to Three U.K., however, the update has been pulled with no specific reason given.

BlackBerry — formally known as Research in Motion — is developing its latest BlackBerry 10.2 update with the ability to run the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean apps. The Canadian company is hoping the move will persuade existing Android users to make the switch to its new platform, knowing that their favorite apps will be compatible.
