Samsung successfully had the iPhone 5 added to its patent infringement complaint against Apple earlier this month, but the Korean electronics giant hasn’t quite finished there. It’s now going after Apple’s latest iOS devices, and has requested that the iPad mini, the new fourth-generation iPad, and Apple’s latest iPod touch are also brought into the case.

T-Mobile customers rocking a Samsung Galaxy S III will be happy to know Jelly Bean is on its way. The update is rolling out OTA (over-the-air) now as well as via the Samsung Kies software.

HTC managed to give virtually no information in their update on the progress of Jelly Bean as it pertains to previously released devices. Every mobile scapegoat word known in the industry was used: internal testing, carrier expectations, performance, connectivity and platform stability, carrier partners, actively reviewing, optimal user experience, localization, partner approvals, etc…

What’s this? A Motorola device on Verizon being updated to the latest version of Android in a semi-reasonable time frame? I think the universe my implode. Looks like Dennis Woodside was serious when he said this was the “New Motorola” and that they’d be focusing on getting out updates much quicker.

Let the update races begin! It looks like Sprint has beaten all other U.S. carriers to the punch and begun rolling out Jelly Bean to its Samsung Galaxy S III users. Timely updates are extremely important to consumers and it’s good to see Sprint recognizing customer’s needs.
