AT&T has taken another step to secure its place as the best 4G LTE network in the United States. As of June 21, new and existing GoPhone prepaid users will be able to connect to AT&T’s 4G LTE service.

On Friday, June 14, an FCC filing for the new Nexus 7 began circulating online, suggesting the tablet’s launch date was getting pretty close. After some extra digging, new information is emerging about the device, including its support for LTE on almost all of the major carriers in the U.S.

AT&T has once again expanded its super fact 4G LTE network — this time to 13 new locations. The announcement was made in a sequential series of press releases on the carrier’s website.

There’s no doubt about it, affordable mid-range smartphones are storming the market. Sprint is the latest company to jump on the bandwagon, with the release of its exclusive Sprint Vital to be manufactured by ZTE.

EE, the U.K.’s first and only 4G LTE carrier, revealed its latest network expansion and 4G LTE plans last night. This is a huge benchmark for the company as it strives to stand out from other competitors when they eventually unveil their 4G LTE services later this year.
