AT&T has taken another step to secure its place as the best 4G LTE network in the United States. As of June 21, new and existing GoPhone prepaid users will be able to connect to AT&T’s 4G LTE service.

AT&T’s GoPhone service is available in a variety of different packages — all of which are significantly cheaper than its regular plans. The plan options are as follows:

  • $25 a month for 250 nationwide minutes and unlimited SMS messaging. If you wish to add 50MB of data, you can do so for an additional $5 a month.
  • $40 a month for 500 nationwide minutes, unlimited SMS messaging and 200MB of data. If you wish to add an extra 100MB of optional data, you can do so for an additional $5 a month.
  • $60 a month for unlimited nationwide minutes, unlimited SMS messaging and 2GB of data. If you wish to add an extra 1GB of optional data, you can do so for an additional $10 a month.

It’s important to note that all GoPhone monthly plans include international texts from the U.S. to Canada and Mexico, as well as over 100 other countries.

“AT&T GoPhone customers can make the most of their smartphones on our fast 4G LTE network, and with our new prepaid plans, they’re getting even more value and data at an attractive price,” said AT&T Mobility senior vice president of data and voice products, Mark Collins.

If you don’t want to take advantage of AT&T’s 4G LTE capabilities, together with GoPhone, you could always pick up a quick messaging plan for basic phones. For $35 a month, basic phone customers can secure themselves 500 nationwide minutes, unlimited SMS messaging and unlimited data.
