The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, a more affordable version of Samsung’s entry-level Android tablet, has been made available to pre-order in Europe for the first time since it was announced last week.

The Wi-Fi only model is priced at 6,490 rubles in Russia, which is roughly $206 U.S. dollars; while the 3G model costs 9,900 rubles, which is around $294 U.S. dollars.

With Nintendo recently admitting that its Wii U console has flopped — slashing its sales forecasts for the device by 70 percent, despite U.S. spending on games consoles reaching a three-year high — the rumor mill has been abuzz with reports that the Japanese games manufacturer would exit the hardware business altogether, and instead focus on creating games for existing smartphones and tablets.

AT&T has officially announced that its carrier-branded LG G Flex will be available to pre-order online and in any of its bricks-and-mortar stores nationwide from Friday, January 24. Unfortunately, the operator failed to provide a solid launch date for the handset, but by pre-ordering on the 24th customers will automatically be securing themselves a device.

XOLO launched its new mid-range Android-powered smartphone, the Q700S, in India today, which the popular Indian manufacturer hopes will rise to the top of the Asian ultra-affordable market in the not-too-distant future. The handset comes in either a silver or gold metallic finish and is available to purchase for 9,999 Indian Rupees, which is approximately $162.

KitKat 10

Samsung is now rolling out the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to all Eastern European models of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 3, in Poland and Russia. This upgrade, build number KOT49H, is a fairly major bump up from 4.3 Jelly Bean, and brings a mass of new functionality, together with the usual multitude of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.
