For a short while it looked like LG was going to become the first third-party device manufacturer to roll out an official Android 5.0 Lollipop update, but Motorola has beaten the South Korean company to it. Its massive Lollipop upgrade is already rolling out to users with an unlocked Moto G, and this time it isn’t just a soak test.

T-Mobile is gearing up for its “Magenta Deal Days” Zero Down promotion in hopes of suckering a few chaps into signing a 2-year contract and paying full retail for a phone. I’ve always detested the way T-Mobile tries to mislead consumers with these deals. The lure is “zero down payment,” but the truth is — there is a down payment. Sure, you’ll get that money back in the form of a rebate card, but that’s not the point. It’s not “zero down,” it’s $149.99 down with a $150 rebate card. It’s more like a deposit than anything.

Gameloft is at it again, teaming up with Marvel to produce yet another hit mobile game. After the success of Spider-Man: Total Mayhem, Marvel knew just who to go to for the creation of an Amazing Spider-Man mobile game that they planned on launching in conjunction with the new film. Gameloft has been working closely with Marvel and Sony Pictures to ensure the game stays as true to the film story as possible.
