T-Mobile is getting the iPhone 5 in a couple weeks. They’re really excited. But towards the end of today’s press event, T-Mobile let it be known that the Samsung Galaxy S 4 will be arriving at the carrier just a few weeks after the iPhone 5.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere kicked off the company’s press event in New York City today with an aggressive yet entertaining onslaught against rival carriers. He called for the likes of AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint to “stop the bullshit” with traditional subsidy models, which T-Mobile has now abandoned in favor of its new “Uncarrier” plans.

Apple is beginning to close the gap on Samsung over shipments of smart connected devices, which includes computers, smartphones, and tablets. The Cupertino company grabbed 20.3% of the market by the end of 2012, according to IDC, while Samsung just about had the edge with a 21.2% share.

HTC-Butterfly

The HTC Butterfly — also known as the J Butterfly in Japan and the Droid DNA in the U.S. — was one of the first smartphones to offer a 1080p display, kickstarting a new generation of full high-definition handsets. And according to HTC marketing chief Benjamin Ho, the handset will get a successor “to meet consumer demand.”
