We had feared that Facebook’s ploy to ruin the Vine party by bringing video to Instagram would work, and according to data from Marketing Land, we were right. Since Instagram began supporting video on June 15, Vine sharing has tumbled by about 70%.

Just last week, Huawei’s Consumer Business Group CEO, Richard Yu, was adamant when he told journalists that the manufacturer was in no way interested in releasing a “Google Edition” Ascend P6. However, we are seeing signs of what can only be described as a huge turnaround today, with reports that another Huawei executive has announced that such a device is very much with the realm of possibility.

Gmail received a minor update last night bringing a couple of necessary changes to the app. Google has brought back the delete option by default alongside the archive button and a new feature which allows users to “tap sender images to select multiple e-mails in the conversation list.”

Norton is famous for its privacy and security protection, and yesterday, it released a new version of its latest Android security app. The upgrade contains Norton’s new Mobile Insight technology, which analyzes Android apps to see where the major security breaches are coming from.

Within a few hours of the update being published, Norton discovered something very interesting but not hugely surprising: one of the main applications that has proven to be a security threat on the Android OS is Facebook.
