The official Norton Mobile Security app for Android has been updated to bring us 3 great new features, including Norton Mobile Insight, protection for Google Chrome, and enhanced anti-theft capabilities.

The first new feature is the addition of Norton Mobile Insight, which takes full advantage of Symantec’s database of 4 million malware-checked Android apps. Whenever a user downloads a new app, if it’s in Norton’s database, it will automatically send the user information about the security and privacy risks for that particular app.

Norton Mobile Security has also added web protection support for Google Chrome, this means the user will be fully protected from threats when browsing the internet, whether they’re using either the stock Android browser or Chrome for Android.

This update also brings us enhanced anti-theft capabilities, enabling a user to remotely lock their lost or stolen device. You will also be able to track your device using a map provided by Symantec on Norton’s website.
