BlackBerry has struck a deal with LG that will see BBM pre-installed on its future Android-powered smartphones. The G Pro Lite, which offers an “optimized BBM experience” and will go on sale “soon” in markets around the world, will be the first device with BBM out-of-the-box.

Google has finally decided to recall faulty HP Chromebook 11 chargers that are prone to overheating, more than a month after the $279 notebook was pulled from store shelves.

The recall was confirmed by the Consumer Products Safety Commission, which confirmed that Google and HP have received nine reports of overheating chargers — one of which burned its owner.

Amazon has knocked £30 ($49) off its 7-inch Wi-Fi Kindle Fire HDX tablets for a limited time in the United Kingdom. The discount makes the 16GB base model just £169 ($276), while the 32GB and 64GB models are now £199 ($326) and £229 ($375) respectively.

LG-Chromebase

LG has today unveiled its new Chromebase all-in-one PC — its first desktop PC powered by Google’s Chrome OS operating system. It boasts a 21.5-inch 1080p display, an Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, and it will be on show at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month.
