When the first quad-core tablet hit the market, Android fans were ecstatic. That excitement quickly turned into disapointment for some, when it was discovered that ASUS had locked the Prime’s bootloader. After an outcry from modders, developers and general consumers, ASUS soon realized the importance of having an unlock option for those that seek the freedom to customize their devices as they see fit, regardless of the risks. ASUS soon announced that they would be working on an unlock tool for the Prime, and today, they have announced that the “root tool” will be available in February.

In case you hadn’t heard, Verizon is holding a Galaxy Nexus 4X4 giveaway over the next few days, giving you a chance to win a brand new Galaxy Nexus. The giveaway is being held on Twitter, so if you don’t care for Twitter, there’s no need to read any further. The contest started today and will run until 11:59:59 pm ET on January 27, 2012. I’ll outline the contest after the break.

We all know this is what the original RAZR should have been, and it’s a shame Verizon had to once again, screw their customers.

Their latest Chinese New Year collection features Fortune (祿), Blessing (福) and Longevity (壽). These three guys were primarily created for DZ’s partners in Asia, but they’ve decided to bring a few sets over to the US!
