Google has lost its battle against a patent troll after a Texas court found Android guilty of infringing a push notification patent. SimpleAir — which has also targeted Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, and other technology giants — is now seeking $125 million in damages.

Samsung “isn’t sure” about announcing its next-generation Galaxy S5 at Mobile World Congress next month after reliable Russian tipster Eldar Murtazin revealed the date of the event. Murtazin now believes the South Korean company could delay the announcement and hold a special event in London as previously reported.

Today, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Note 3 ‘Olympic Games Edition’. The Note 3 is the ‘official handset’ of the Winter Olympics Games, scheduled to take place in Sochi, Russia between 6 and 23 February, 2014, and as you’d expect the South Korean company will be providing all athletes with a complimentary handset.

The company has filed a “Notice of Opposition” against Stoic for its Viking-themed role-playing game The Banner Saga.
