Three U.K. has today announced that customers will now be able to use their U.K. allowances of calls, texts, and data in the United States and three other countries at no additional cost as part of its “fear-free” Feel At Home roaming initiative.

Google is in the process of rolling a silent, much-needed, over the air update to all of its Chromecast units located within the United States. The update brings a couple of highly-requested bug fixes, in addition to a refreshed home screen, which promises some dramatic speed optimizations.

EE, U.K.’s current largest 4G network, has once again expanded its rapidly-growing LTE service to cover another 10 towns across the United Kingdom. This expansion was announced in a press release on the operators website where EE claims its 4G service now covers more than 65% of the U.K’s population.

The LG G Flex has been available to purchase from Korean importers for about two weeks now. However, LG’s flagship handset will soon be on sale in several retail stores located in Singapore and Hong Kong. Residents in Singapore will be able to pre-order the smartphone on Sunday, December 8, Whereas, the device will make its debut appearance in Hong Kong on Friday, December 18, but, unfortunately, there is no pre-order page to reserve the curved, self-healing handset.

International Data Corporation (IDC) released it’s quarterly report on worldwide tablet shipments Tuesday. The report states that the data tracking agency has lowered its expected forecast for growth in the tablet sector, which includes Android, iOS, and Windows tablets.

Tablet shipments are now expected to reach 221.3 million units this year, which is down from the agency’s earlier forecast of 227.4 million units. This new forecast is still 53.5 percent higher than last year’s unit shipment levels, however.
