Samsung’s already launched its first smartphone with a curved glass display, but that’s just a little taster of things to come from the South Korean consumer electronics giant. In fact, the Galaxy Round actually looks pretty boring when you compare it to the smartphone depicted in these Samsung patents, which features a wraparound display that extends around the edges of the device.

Today, the Head of Design at Samsung Mobile, Dong-hoon Chang, has allegedly confirmed in an interview with a South Korean publication that the company will unveil its upcoming flagship smartphone of 2014, the Galaxy S5, at this years Mobile World Congress, which is scheduled to take place in February.

EE has already announced that it will be the first U.K. carrier to begin selling the LG G Flex starting next month, but those who want to obtain the device unlocked, without a contract, can now pre-order one from retailer Expansys. They’ll probably need some time to save up for it, though, because it’s priced at a whopping £700 ($1,151).

Lenovo

Lenovo has shared its CES announcements with us a few days early this year by unveiling four new relatively impressive Android-powered high-end smartphones — “the Lenovo Vibe Z, the Lenovo S930, the Lenovo S650 and the Lenovo A859.”

The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the HTC EVO 4G has been delayed until mid-February. The software was initially expected to make its debut at the end of 2013, but HTC America president Jason Mackenzie today confirmed on Twitter that users will have to wait another few weeks for it.
