Vivo Xplay 3S

Chinese manufacturer BBK came up with the ingenious idea of announcing what was supposed to be the world’s first smartphone with a 2K resolution display, the only problem is, it is still yet to launch it. The smartphone was originally scheduled for a mid-January release, then postponed to February 12 — and today here’s still no sight of it.

Smart Pause

Queens’s University and a non-profit Canadian organization called PARTEQ have leveled an accusation against Samsung Electronics claiming technology theft. The technology in question is what Samsung calls “Smart Pause,” which basically allows for videos to be paused midway when the user looks away from the screen.

Moto-X-colors

Moto X handsets on U.S. Cellular are beginning to receive their Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates today. The update, which comes with build number “KXA20.16-1.27,” adds Google Cloud Print and a number of fixes for email syncing and battery life issues.

Nokia X Vietnam

The Nokia Normandy, scheduled to be Nokia’s first Android smartphone (and not the last), has been listed by an online retailer operating in Vietnam that reveals the handset’s price tag and full list of specifications.

BBM-Channels

BlackBerry today announced the arrival of BBM 2.0 for Android and iOS, which brings BBM Channels, BBM Voice, and other new features to the popular cross-platform messaging app. The Canadian company first teased this update back in December, and now it is finally rolling out through the App Store and Google Play.
