Google has officially announced that it will discontinue support for its Wallet Tap & Pay service on all devices running versions of the Android operating system below KitKat 4.4, starting Monday, April 14, 2014.

Earlier this week, Google rolled out an update for its Google Search app that brought a new detailed layout for Google Now cards and the ability to toggle the “Ok Google” hotword detection.

Turns out, the update includes a lot of other goodies as well as revealed by the official change-log posted by Google today.

Xperia T2 Ultra

The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra was recently rumored to be making its way to T-Mobile as a budget ranged offering. And today, some sample images taken from its camera have surfaced, revealing more than decent performance. Bear in mind that despite the smartphone being low on hardware specifications, Sony has packed a decent and “best in class” 13 megapixel camera, so we expect a lot from this sensor.

Galaxy S5 Teaser

Samsung has just posted a new teaser in Malaysia indicating that the smartphone could arrive earlier than the April 11 schedule. The teaser reads – “Be The First” with the date March 27 written right below, indicating that the handset could launch on that day. However, since Samsung hasn’t confirmed this, it’s probably wise to treat this as a pre-order listing.

Transformer-Book-Duet-TD300

Asus has been forced to abandon the dual-booting Transformer Book Duet TD300 due to strong opposition from both Google and Microsoft, according to sources for The Wall Street Journal.

Announced at CES back in January, the notebook would have allowed users to run Android and Windows on the same machine, then quickly switch between them. But its fate has looked uncertain since Asus postponed its launch this month.
