Earlier today, a well known and trusted leaker announced on his social networking profiles that Sony’s latest mid-range phablet, the Xperia T2 Ultra, will indeed be launching on T-Mobile in the United States later this year. Obviously, this latest revelation is only a rumor, and although the source is usually extremely reliable, it should still be taken with a pinch of salt as, after all, it may never happen.

The T2 Ultra is relatively respectable handset in terms of performance, packing a whopping 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, a Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset pores by a quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD) and a 3,000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

Although nothing has been confirmed, as of yet, it certainly looks like some folks in the U.S. may be able to get their hands on Sony’s latest phablet after all.
