The wearables market is still in its infancy right now, and yet Samsung has already flooded it with five Gear-branded watches over the past nine months. You can bet they’ll be plenty more to come before the end of the year, too, with claims the South Korean company is teaming up with Under Armour to make more fitness-focused devices.

Google has made major improvements to the web-based version of its Google Play store in recent months, adding some of the functionality that users have become accustomed to with the native Android app. Today those improvements continue with the arrival of a flagging feature that lets you report inappropriate apps.

The midrange HTC Desire 610 is coming to AT&T this month, and it will sell for just $200 off-contract. It delivers HTC’s excellent build quality, front-facing speakers, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera — and it will be available on Friday, July 25.

EchoWear

Android Wear’s feature set is quickly expanding now that third-party developers are rolling out their own smartwatch apps, and there are some real treats to be found in Google Play. The latest is called EchoWear, and it brings Shazam-like music recognition to your wrist to help you identify the tracks you hear around you.

Earlier today, an unannounced Sony smartphone passed through the United States of America’s official certification authority — the FCC. Information included in the filing documentation reveals that we could possibly be looking at Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z3 (D6603) — a revamped model of the company’s flagship smartphone of 2014.
