Together as one.

For us gamers, the great thing about having a smartphone in your pocket all day every day is that you’re never too far away from your next fix of Angry Birds or Grand Theft Auto 3. The thing is, some games — first-person shooters, in particular — work better with physical controllers.

The creators of GameKlip have recognized that, and they’ve put together this mount that connects your Android smartphone to your PlayStation 3 controller. It’s terrific — if you don’t mind rooting.

That’s not a bad deal.

British broadsheet The Times, the only U.K. newspaper to date to install a paywall on its site, is offering Google’s 32GB Nexus 7 for just £50 (approx. $81) when customers take out a new 18-month digital subscription. That’s £149 (approx. $240) off its regular price tag. The “Digi Bundle” not only gives users access to The Times on their new Nexus 7, but also to the newspaper’s web and mobile content as well.

Lookout is the number one security service for Android.

Lookout has announced a new partnership with Orange that will see its mobile security software pre-installed on Android devices that are sold by the carrier throughout Europe. France, Spain, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom will be first to get the software in early 2013, and more countries will be added throughout the year.

It’s almost here.

Gameloft has announced that Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, the latest addition to its series of first-person shooters, will make its debut on iOS this Thursday, December 6, before arriving on Android “shortly after.” We’ve been following the title’s development since Gameloft released its first teaser tailer back in September, and we couldn’t be more excited. If you’re a fan of FPS games, this is the title to look out for.

GTA: Vice City looks better than ever.

Rockstar Games is bringing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — the best game in the GTA series, in my opinion — to Android and iOS on Thursday (like you didn’t already know that!) to celebrate its 10th anniversary. And to ensure we’re super excited for its release, the company has teased us with a few screenshots from the game.

They’ll look very familiar to you if you’ve already played Vice City before, because it’s almost exactly the same game. But look closely and you’ll notice the game looks a whole lot nicer this time around.
