Amazon prides itself on offering affordable Android tablets, and so it likes to point that out whenever it gets the opportunity to do so. Usually this means taking a swipe at more expensive devices, and it’s Apple’s iPad that’s on the receiving end again in the company’s new commercial.

Focusing on the high-resolution displays in both devices, Amazon suggests that “you may not be able to tell the difference” between them… until you look at the price tags.

An internal launch calendar from T-Mobile has been leaked online, revealed the launch dates of three Android handsets — including the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE and the Galaxy Exhibit — and the new BlackBerry Z10. Although these release dates are yet to be confirmed, it appears March is going to be a big month for T-Mobile.

Amazon has today announced a new virtual currency that will be used inside apps and games developed for its Kindle Fire tablet family. Called “Amazon Coins” and set to arrive in May, Amazon believes the move is “another substantial opportunity to drive traffic, downloads and increase monetization even further” for developers.

Samsung has today added another two smartphones to its Galaxy family in the form of the Galaxy Fame and the Galaxy Young. Both mid-range devices are to offer Android on a budget, and their optional dual-SIM capabilities make them ideal for those who frequently use their smartphones for both work and play.
