It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long since Google last made major changes to Google Play, but it appears the company has been hard at work on another big overhaul. The Google Play 4.0 update has been leaked ahead of its official release, and it shows off a brand new look that seems to better fit Android’s Holo user interface guidelines.

Google has released an interesting update for Google Currents, which adds support for audio playback, along with various other minor updates such as synchronization of post read-states between devices.

Demiurge Studios (Borderlands, Mass Effect) teamed up with Owlchemy Labs (Snuggle Truck, Jack Lumber) to announce that the Android version of Shoot Many Robots is now available for free on Google Play. Originally released in March 2012 for Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) and the PlayStation Network (PSN), Shoot Many Robots came out a month later on PC, via Steam, and should be released on iOS soon.

Google has officially unveiled Google Keep, a new note-taking service that’s available on the web and Android. The service uses Google Drive to store and sync notes and lists between devices, and there’s an app in Google Play for Android 4.0 and up.
