Google is gearing up to launch a second-generation Nexus 7 this July, which will cost slightly more than its predecessor at $229, according to supply chain sources in Taiwan. The search giant has supposedly upped its price tag slightly in an effort to avoid competing directly against entry-level Android tablet from other manufacturers.

Last night saw the release of Google’s official Cloud Print app on Google Play. Google Cloud Print is a handy tool to have on your Android device, enabling you to print anything from anywhere using Chrome, with your own computer and printer.

I never make snarky remarks about gadget’s name (well, almost never). It’s tough enough being a marketing guru — what with the treacherous task of having to choose font colors for product brochures or painstakingly constructing diabolical puzzles that keep the purchaser occupied for hours as he tries desperately to separate the gadget from its box — without some jerkwad tech blogger jeering at you.

But if there were a product I’d wince at and say “really?” when I looked at the name, it’d probably be the MobiAria (but I won’t. I won’t!)

Samsung-Galaxy-Camera

Samsung has a press event scheduled for June 20, but it has announced so many new smartphones recently that we’re wondering what’s left to unveil. According to one source, one of the products on its list will be a second-generation Galaxy Camera, which is said to be everything its predecessor “should’ve been.”

Facebook-Home-HTC-One

The HTC One Mini, a cheaper version of HTC’s flagship smartphone, will go on sale this August, according to sources for Bloomberg. The device will have a smaller display with a lower-resolution screen and a slower processor, but it will be priced less to compete with devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
