It’s Sunday, the time of the week where Cult of Android will be bringing you a report on some of the very best apps we have been using throughout the duration of the past week.

Twitter has officially rolled out the latest version of its Twitter application to all registered Android beta testers via the Play Store. Version 5.0 comes in the form of a rather hefty update, bringing a completely re-designed user interface.

Starting today, Google is rolling out an over-the-air update for the Google Play Edition of HTC’s flagship One. This upgrade brings the handset up to speed with current Nexus devices running build JWR66Y. Although it doesn’t bring any major software improvements, it’s still quite an important stability update that we would advise all users to download.

We first caught a glimpse of the much-anticipated Nexus 5 at the Android KitKat statue unveiling last week, and now a device matching its description has made its way through the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). In a series of external images attached to the filing, we can gain a relatively clear view of the back, sides and front of this upcoming LG-manufactured handset.

Sony’s latest high-end Android-powered phablet, the Xperia Z Ultra, was revealed back in June, and now both Three U.K. and O2 have officially announced that they will carry the device starting from today. The handset is available to purchase in-store from both carrier’s, as well as online from O2. Unfortunately, it will not be available online from Three U.K. until October 18.
