It’s not everyday Verizon has a deal worth jumping on, but this one warrants a definite look. If you’ve been in the market for a powerful smartphone but have been short on cash, Verizon has dropped the price of the HTC Rezound to an amazing $49.99. That’s a steal for a 4G device featuring a 4.3-inch Super LCD screen, dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash and f/2.2, 28mm wide-angle lens. The HTC Rezound was unfortunately overshadowed by the Galaxy Nexus, and to be honest, would have been the device I purchased myself (had it not been for the Galaxy Nexus).

If you haven’t already filed your taxes, this weekend would be a great time to do so. This weekend only, Turbo Tax is offering free filing ($67+ value) for anyone who prepares their taxes using the Turbo Tax app for Android. The app is currently only available for Android tablets running 3.0+ (including the Kindle Fire) and requires users to file both their federal and state returns to be eligible.

Looking for a great deal on the tablet that proved to manufacturers that price matters? Amazon is offering up certified refurbished Kindle Fires at a ridiculous price of $139. It’s a limited time, limited quantity deal, so you’ll want to act fast. The Amazon Kindle Fire blazed into the tablet market with its perfect price and treasure trove of content. It was the first tablet to successfully steal a sliver of the market away from tablet titan Apple. At $199 it opened the door for budget conscious consumers to experience digital content in a new and exciting way. It was a good deal then and at $139, it’s a great deal now!

TeeFury, the online site which features one new super limited-edition tee every 24 hours for $10 has a geeky t-shirt you might be interested in. Today’s t-shirt — which will be gone in about 4 hours — features our favorite Android mascot being carried off by the mischievous Jawa of Star Wars. This parody of a geek classic is a satirical take on the license fees involved every time a droid phone is sold according to the designer. I’m assuming he’s referring to the licensing fees being paid to Lucasfilm Ltd. for the DROID name, but either way, it’s a cool little t-shirt that meshes some geeky goodness.

There’s a pretty sweet deal going for anyone looking to pick up an unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus. For about 13 more hours, the Daily Steals site is offering an unlocked 16GB GSM Galaxy Nexus for the insanely low price of $459. Okay, it’s not “insanely low,” but it’s still a heck-of-a-lot cheaper than the usual $700 price tag.
