The NFL has announced that NBC’s broadcasts of wild card Saturday, the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl will be available online as well as via Verizon’s NFL Mobile app. This will mark the first time said events were streamed through a mobile platform and it comes as no surprise that their partner Verizon gets the honor. Here’s what Hans Shroeder, NFL senior vice president of media strategy and development had to say about the news:


The burning question on the minds of most Android users is: “Will my device be getting upgraded to the latest OS?” Many users are still stuck on contracts, and considering a “new and improved” device comes out almost monthly, it would be financially irresponsible to keep buying these devices at full cost. Today Samsung has announced its international list of devices that are scheduled to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update. WordPress for Android has been updated to version 2.0 and promises to make blogging on your Android device faster and easier. This newest version is chock full of new features including: tablet support, a new UI, and a new Post Editor. While these changes seem to make the whole experience more feasible, I still consider using my phone as a blogging tool to be a last resort option. On the other hand, Blogging from a 10.1″ tablet with laptop dock — something I could get used to. If you’ve been looking to get some great music at a ridiculous price, now’s the time. Google Music has kicked off their “Music Blowout Sale,” discounting over half a million albums to $4.99 and over ten million tracks for only $.49! Now that’s a deal worth listening to. I’ve already perused over a bunch of discounted tracks and I’ve found a plethora of alternative classics from Radiohead, Beck, and Nirvana.

Google+ received a nice little update yesterday evening, bringing with it some great new features along with the usual bug fixes. With so many new devices coming equipped with front-facing cameras, it was only a matter of time before Google finally added the ability to start hangouts via our phones.
