Last night, Conan and Team Coco decided to roast (literally) the Kindle Fire for its various customer complaints. We’re not going to comment on the merits of such claims but we can certainly bask in the humor and wit of Team Coco. Watch the video after the break. Enjoy!

Popular third party app store GetJar is holding its own holiday sale for the month of December. They’ve put up a dedicated site with a scrollable list of paid apps from A to Z which have been discounted to the low price of — free! With over 100 apps to choose from, you’ll find many popular titles have been discounted. I quickly skimmed over the list and was surprised to find hits like Age of Zombies, Beautiful Widgets (first app to surpass 1 million paid downloads), Fruit Ninja, and more.

To take advantage of this sale, you will of course have to download the GetJar app store, but if you don’t mind another app store on your device, then it’s worth it to get all the free apps. All these apps store competing against each other, giving away apps for free to attract customers — isn’t competition great! This particular sale is for a limited time only so hit the link after the break and start enjoying some free apps courtesy of GetJar.

Amazon released an update to the Kindle Fire bringing it to verision 6.2.1. The update includes a much needed performance boost among other things. While this is great news for most Kindle Fire owners, it also brings some disparaging news to those who have rooted their device. This update will indeed remove your root privileges, and unlike previous updates, you won’t be able to re-root the device using the SuperOneClick utility. Of course the majority of Kindle Fire users aren’t going to care about this, and while it’s a minor setback for the hacker community, I’m sure they’ll have a fix soon. Interested in knowing what improvements come with the latest 6.2.1 update?

The Duke is back, and this time he wants to let us know he’s free of charge. This classic first person shooter had reviewers furious over its release into the Android Market. It drew intense criticism for debuting as one of the first paid apps to include ads. It only took them one day (and dozens of one star ratings) to realize the error of their ways and release an update to remove the ads. It would appear that wasn’t enough to appease users and garner excitement as they are now offering the game for free in the Android Market.

Who doesn’t love a good contest? This one’s for all you Twitter users out there. Motorola is holding a Twitter sweepstakes entitled #WhiteRazrXmas, and will be giving away six Motorola White DROID RAZRS to six lucky tweeters. The contest officially started yesterday but runs daily thru 12/25 so you still have plenty of chances to win. What exactly do you have to do to enter? First, you’ll have to make sure you’re following @motorola, then all you have to do is send out a tweet wishing someone a #WhiteRazrXmas and you’re entered for that day. There’s only one entry per Twitter username per day, so multiple tweets in one day aren’t going to improve your chances.

That’s it. Simple and sweet. Now head on over to the official rules page to read over all the specifics before entering.
