There are lots of things we shouldn’t use a smartwatch for — such as gaming or browsing the web — but we do it anyway because we can. And it’s pretty neat. Bringing a web browser to Samsung’s Gear S smartwatch sounds like a silly idea, then, but Opera went ahead and did it because it knew we’d use it anyway.

LG is expected to finally launch its second Android Wear watch next week. Two separate sources in South Korean claim the G Watch R will make its debut there on Monday, October 13 — almost two months after it was announced at IFA 2014 in Berlin — but just one retailer will be selling the device for the first week.

Yes, Motorola did just announce its second-generation Moto G, but it’s only available with 3G connectivity initially. If that just isn’t speedy enough for you, you’ll be able get the original (2013) Moto G LTE from AT&T beginning Friday, October 10.

The HTC Desire Eye with its giant, front-facing camera sensor is close… so close, in fact, that HTC seems to have made up its official press shots already. A leaked image purportedly showing off the back of the upcoming HTC Nexus 9 for the first time has been published on Twitter. The device carriers the familiar Nexus styling with what appears to be a soft touch, matte plastic finish, the Nexus brand etched into its casing, and a large rear-facing camera lens.
