Android developers can finally begin testing 64-bit apps using Google’s new 64-bit Android L developer preview emulator. The release comes just weeks before Android L is expected to make its public debut, and it should finally kickstart the development of 64-bit Android software.

Smartphones made of metal are far fancier than their plastic counterparts, but like other metallic objects, they will bend with enough force. Google has finally given Play Movies customers the ability to pre-order upcoming titles — if you live in the U.S. There are currently 15 movies to choose from — including 22 Jump Street and Guardians of the Galaxy — and they’ll be added to your library automatically on the day they become available.

HTC has confirmed reports that its plans to launch a smartwatch have been postponed. The Taiwanese firm insists that it hasn’t given up on the device completely, however; it simply wants to “get it right” before sending it to market.
