Wave goodbye to your removable batteries, Galaxy S fans, because it looks like Samsung could be ditching them for this year’s flagship. Sources say that the upcoming Galaxy S6 will have a high-end glass back panel similar to that of earlier iPhones or Sony’s Xperia Z devices, and you won’t be able to pull it off yourself.

Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S6 may be about a month away from its official unveiling, but the South Korean company is already showing it off at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, it has confirmed. Don’t expect to see any early glimpses of the handset, however, because only “select partners” get to look at it.

If you’ve got a device from Sony’s newest Xperia Z3 family, your wait for an Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade is almost over. Sony has confirmed it will be bringing Google’s latest software to the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact starting next month.

If you have a smartphone or tablet from the Sony Xperia Z family, you’re guaranteed an Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade no matter how old your device. Sony has vowed to upgrade all Xperia Z devices — including the original Xperia Z, the Xperia ZL, the Xperia ZR, and of course, the new Xperia Z3.

One of the biggest differentiators between Sony’s new Xperia Z3 and its predecessor is the addition of PS4 Remote Play, which lets gamers enjoy their favorite PlayStation 4 titles on their smartphone or tablet. Only Sony’s latest devices are officially supported right now, but thanks to a third-party developer, the feature has been ported to other Android devices.
