Google rolled out Android 4.4.1 for the Nexus 5 and other Nexus-branded devices on Thursday evening. Its main changes include some much-needed camera fixes for the company’s latest smartphone, but the update brings other fixes and improvements that you may not have spotted yet.

The popular U.S. carrier, C Spire, is currently pushing out a longly-awaited over-the-air (OTA) update to all its carrier-branded Samsung Galaxy S4 handsets located in the United States. This upgrade brings the latest build of Android 4.3, in addition to a multitude of additional bug fixes and speed optimizations.

Google is in the process of rolling out a much-needed update for its official Play Movies and TV app on the Play Store. This upgrade allows users to get their content offline faster, movies and shows may now be downloaded in HD or SD, there’s also improved video streaming performance for KitKat devices and a shedload of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Late last night, Google officially announced the expanding availability of its Play Books service to Argentina and an additional 4 new Spanish-speaking countries. This expansion bumps the total number of supported countries up to 44.

HTC-One-logo-back

Sprint has started pushing out a minor OTA update to all its carrier-branded HTC One devices registered in the U.S. This upgrade doesn’t bring any major software developments, but it does bring some much-needed stability improvements, including a fix for the issue that repeatedly occurred informing users that “no SIM card” was inserted.
