Google Play Books Now Available In 5 More Countries

Late last night, Google officially announced the expanding availability of its Play Books service to Argentina and an additional 4 new Spanish-speaking countries. This expansion bumps the total number of supported countries up to 44.

Having almost completed the staged rollout of Play Books in Europe, the team at Mountain View HQ are now focusing their attention on bringing the service to other regions around the world, starting with the continent of Asia.

Google’s Play Books service will now be available in the following countries:

  • Argentina
  • Chile
  • Columbia
  • Peru
  • Venezuela

The Play Books app allows users to purchase, download and install supported books on their Android smartphones and tablets, which it turn, gives them the power to read whenever and wherever they please.
