Moto-X-colors

Late yesterday afternoon, Motorola updated its official Assist app on Google’s Play Store, which is sadly currently only available to download on the following smartphones: the Moto X, the Droid Ultra, the Droid Mini and the Droid Maxx. The Motorola Assist app brings users exclusive added functionality that they would not usually receive as standard on their Android-powered handsets, and now, thanks to this update, users will be able to have multiple calendars monitored throughout their day-to-day life.

Sprint is currently pushing out a relatively minor over-the-air stability update to all its carrier-branded HTC One smartphones currently located in the United States. Sadly, this upgrade doesn’t bring much in terms of added functionality, but it does include a handful of ‘system stability improvements,’ all aimed at making a user’s experience better when using the handset.

Sony is today pushing out its latest Android 4.4 KitKat update to its latest trio of flagship Xperia smartphones. The Xperia Z1, the Xperia Z1 Compact, and the Xperia Z Ultra are all getting the release, which promises performance optimizations, user interface tweaks, Xperia Themes, and more.

If you own an AT&T-branded Moto X and registered as a member of the Motorola Feedback Network you should have received an invitation for a new soak test by now. If you chose to accept the invite, you will be prompted to download and install the much-anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, however, it’s important to bear in mind that this is only a test version of the upgrade, and some issues may occur.

Pocket-Casts-Android

Pocket Casts, arguably the finest podcast client available for Android, just received a new update that allows users to stream their favorite shows to their TV via Chromecast. The release also brings a new icon and user interface improvements, performance enhancements, and more.
