Today, the popular British operator, Three U.K, officially launched its “super-fast” 4G service in three cities across the United Kingdom without warning. The carrier claims that “a few thousand” customers in London, Birmingham and Manchester have been given access to its new LTE network and by the end of February 1.5 million customers with 4G-enabled devices will have the ability to use the service.

EE, the U.K.’s largest 4G network, has officially extended its rapidly-growing home and office LTE broadband to cover parts of rural Cumbria in the United Kingdom. The operator claims that this latest expansion means that its service now covers more than 70% of the U.K’s entire population.

Back in August, HTC announced the Desire 500 as a variant to its former flagship Android-powered smartphone, the HTC Desire, and now Carphone Warehouse have launched the mid-range handset in the U.K.

Yesterday, the Dixons Group, officially announced Advent’s first budget-friendly Tegra 4 powered tablet, the Tegra Note, which will ship running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean when it launches in the United Kingdom on November 15 and can be pre-ordered today with a rather competitive price tag of £179.99.

HTC has begun rolling out its latest Android 4.3 update — complete with the latest Sense 5.5 user interface — to HTC One handsets in the United Kingdom. The release comes less than two weeks after the update made its debut on international handsets.
