Gmail-ads

I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time deleting spam messages from my inbox — despite using a junk mail filter. But the issue is about to get a whole lot worse, with Google gearing up to deliver adverts to our Gmail inboxes. The messages will appear under the new Promotions tab that was recently introduced in a Gmail update, and Google is testing them on a small number of users now.

The popular third-party Twitter client, Carbon, has received a pretty hefty update bringing with it a ton of new features and bug fixes. Included in this upgrade is the ability to adjust notification frequency options ranging from 5 to 120 minutes, a snappy in-app browser, a redesigned image viewer screen, and lots more.

Twitter-Android-HTC-One

Twitter has announced a bunch of new updates for its Android app, which includes synchronization of direct messages, new search features and richer search results. The new features will be rolled out in stages, but you will need to have the latest version (4.1.2) of the Twitter app in order to receive these new features.

The Motorola DROID MAXX made its debut appearance in a leaked press render this weekend. We do not know an awful lot about this device, but we do know that it will be coming to Verizon later this year — presumably in the fall.

Falcon Pro is famous for constantly running up against Twitter’s new API rules that limit the amount of users a third-party Twitter client can have. However, the app always bounces back, and this time the developers have devised an impressive new method to enable everyone to ‘bypass’ the 100,000 API limit and to be able to continue to use the extremely popular third-party Android app.
