Flipboard is no longer a service that you can only enjoy on mobile devices. From today, more than 2 million magazines on every topic imaginable are available to read in your web browser. Each one boasts Flipboard’s signature look and feel, but they’re been optimized for the larger screen on your desktop.

Google’s second-generation Nexus 7 could be just weeks away with supply chain sources claiming it’ll launch in late July or early August. Like the current Nexus 7, the new model will reportedly be built by Asus, and it’ll feature much-improved specifications, including a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a Snapdragon 600 processor.

Crazy-Taxi

The Dreamcast classic Crazy Taxi made its mobile debut on iOS last September, and today it finally comes to Android. It’s almost entirely the same as the original hit — it even has exactly the same soundtrack featuring Offspring and Bad Religion — but it’s been optimized for touchscreen devices.

Google has rolled out a major Google Maps update for Android smartphones and tablets, which is also “coming soon” to iPhone and iPad. It introduces a new design that finally boasts a dedicated user interface for tablets, as well as enhanced navigation and new features.

Nook-Android

The official Nook app for Android has been updated with support for high resolution magazines on tablets with 1280×720 displays or greater. The update comes more than three months after HD magazines came to the iPad, but it’s better late than never.
