The only thing Samsung loves more than copying its competition is mocking them. In a new ad for its Galaxy PRO series tablets, the South Korean company picks on rival tablets to highlights the benefits of its own.

Entitled “It Can Do That,” the one-minute clip pokes fun at iPad’s inability to run multiple apps side-by side; the Surface tablet’s keyboard, mouse, and battery dock; and the Kindle for supposedly being little more than an e-book reader.

When not even your own employees want to use your smartphone operating system, how are you supposed to win over consumers? That’s the question Microsoft is facing after one of its Xbox employees was caught tweeting from an Android as opposed to one of the company’s own Windows Phone devices.

Dreams of an Android-powered Nokia were well and truly quashed today when Microsoft announced that it has reached a deal to acquire Nokia’s Devices and Services unit for $7.2 billion. The move will see Microsoft take ownership of the Finnish firm’s entire smartphone lineup, giving it complete control over both hardware and software.

Turkey’s tablet loving Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has been going on a tour of the U.S. in pursuit of the greatest tablet marker in the world to arm his students with. The prime minister visited Silicon Valley on May 18th to be briefed by the world’s best technology companies on their latest endeavors.

Erdoğan is looking to buy 10.6 million iPads for his country’s education new education project Faith. So far, Erdoğan was first greeted by Microsoft CEO, Steve Balmer, and then he paid visits to both Apple, Google.

Microsoft is planning a new lineup of Surface tablets that includes a 7-inch model designed to compete with Apple’s iPad mini and Google’s Nexus 7, The Wall Street Journal reports. The device will enter mass production later this year, according to people familiar with Microsoft’s plans, but it’s unclear when the company will bring the new slate to market.
