Google began selling its new Nexus 4 through the U.K. Google Play Store on Tuesday night, much to the delight of Android users who are itching to get hold of the company’s latest smartphone. The only problem is, there’s a 5-6 week shipping delay. That means your hopes of bagging the handset this side of Christmas are gone.

Samsung continues to do well in the U.S.

Samsung has once again taken the top spot for mobile market share in the United States after attracting more than a quarter of mobile subscribers. The Korean company claimed 26.3% of the market as of October 2012, but rival Apple is quickly catching up. The iPhone maker saw the highest level of growth among cellphone manufacturers, and managed to overtake LG to take second place.

The iPhone 4S loses its crown to the enemy.

The Samsung Galaxy S III, this year’s hottest Android handset, has overtaken the iPhone 4S to become the world’s best-selling smartphone. One in every nine smartphones sold during the third-quarter of 2012 were Galaxy S IIIs, helping Samsung ship an estimated 18 million units during the three-month period.

ASUS held a multitude of events across the globe to announce the new Padfone 2. The follow up to the unique phone/tablet combo of the original Padfone, the Padfone 2 is bigger, faster and sleeker. Unfortunately it still carries a few setbacks to make me question its worth.
