Samsung-Galaxy-S-IV-3

Samsung’s Galaxy S IV event is “definitely” scheduled for March 14, according to sources familiar with the Korean company’s plans. On Monday, we heard the device would be unveiled on that date at an event in New York City, and those claims have now been “confirmed.” However, it’s still unclear when the device — which is likely to be one of the most successful smartphones of 2013 — will go on sale.

Samsung-Galaxy-Camera

Samsung has introduced a new Wi-Fi only Galaxy Camera that drops its 3G/4G data connection in an effort to become more affordable. Like the original Galaxy Camera, this model runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with access to a more than 700,000 apps from the Google Play store. It also has all the same hardware, including a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 23mm wide-angle lens, and 21x optical zoom.

Following the success of the Galaxy S III — and indeed the Galaxy S II before it — the Galaxy S IV is expected to become one of the biggest smartphones of 2013. So it’s no wonder that Android fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival. According to the latest report, the device will get its grand unveiling on March 14 at an event in New York.

Galaxy-Note-Premium-Suite

It’s taken a heck of a long time, but Samsung’s original Galaxy Note — the “phablet” that inspired a whole host of super-sized smartphones — is finally getting its much-anticipated Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade. The software is arriving over-the-air and via Samsung Kies to devices with the GT-N7000 model number, and it’s said to be hitting users in Asia first.

LG-Optimus-G-Pro

LG announced its super-sized Optimus G Pro last week, a 5.5-inch handset that’s coming to do battle with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The device will be coming to Korea this week, the company has now confirmed, before making its way to North America during Q2 2013.

In addition to its impressive 1080p display, the Optimus G Pro will also be the first smartphone to offer a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, which is the successor to the popular Snapdragon S4 Pro.
