If you love the look of Apple’s latest iPhones but you can’t stand the thought of ditching Android for iOS, then perhaps this shameless Chinese knockoff will get your mouth watering. It’s called the Sophone i6 and looks just like the real thing, but it runs Jelly Bean instead of iOS and it’s available at a fraction of the price.

Its specifications aren’t exactly awful, either.

Samsung may have all but confirmed its Galaxy Note 4 is coming on September 3, but the South Korean company hasn’t revealed its specifics just yet. That hasn’t stopped smartphone clone specialist Goophone from announcing its knockoff version, however.

The Goophone N4 looks like it could slot right into Samsung’s official Galaxy Note lineup, but its internal specifications are likely to fall well short of the real thing.

Spice-phone

Indian smartphone maker Spice has confirmed it will launch its first Android One smartphone by the end of October. The device is expected to deliver a dual-core processor, two SIM card slots, and a built-in FM radio — and in line with the Android One program, it should cost under $100.

MediaTek might not be as popular a chip vendor as Qualcomm but the company has played a major role in many Chinese and Indian OEMs releasing sub-100$ Android phones.

Today, the company announced its next-generation high-end chipset — the MT6795 — featuring a 64-bit true Octa-core processor with 2K display and LTE support. This means that the CPU can theoretically run all of its eight cores at the same time if the situation demands.

Taiwanese chip maker MediaTek today announced a new high-end system-on-chip that will supercharge future smartphones and tablets. The MT6795 is built upon 64-bit architecture, boasts 8 processing cores clocked at 2.2GHz, and delivers support for 2K displays.
