Galaxy-Note-3-KitKat

Samsung’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3 made its debut a little earlier than expected today when it started appearing on handsets in Poland. The software is compatible with the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy Note 3 with the “SM-N9005” model number, and it’s being distributed via Samsung’s KIES application for Mac and PC.

CoA-CES-2014-bugIt seems Android-powered all-in-ones are set to be all the rage this year, with new offerings already announced by LG, Acer, and Lenovo. And now HP has thrown its hat into the ring with the Slate 21 Pro, a slightly enhanced version of last year’s original Slate 21 that’s aimed at business users.

Not only is it an Android-powered PC all by itself, but its HDMI connection allows it to also act as a monitor for other Macs and PCs.

LG-Chromebase

LG has today unveiled its new Chromebase all-in-one PC — its first desktop PC powered by Google’s Chrome OS operating system. It boasts a 21.5-inch 1080p display, an Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, and it will be on show at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month.

It has taken T-Mobile some time to get its act together, but today the carrier finally began rolling out its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II. It weighs in at around 614MB, and you’ll be able to download it over-the-air or via Samsung’s KIES application for Mac and PC.
