LG-Optimus-G-Pro-leak

LG announced that its flagship Optimus G has now racked up more than 1 million sales since it was launched just under four months ago, but it seems the Korean company may already be planning a successor. The Optimus G Pro has been revealed in a leaked slide, and it comes with a number of improvements over its predecessor, including a larger 1080p display, a faster quad-core processor, and a bigger battery.

Almost four months after LG launched its flagship Optimus G, the company has sold more than 1 million units. The device first launched in Korea back in September, and it’s been slowly but surely rolling out in additional markets since. In the United States and Canada, the Optimus G has been available since November, while those in China and Europe are still waiting for it.

Google’s new Nexus 4 has been a hugely popular device since it first made its debut back in November, but the apparent supply issues surrounding the Galaxy Nexus successor have been well documented. What isn’t clear is why the Nexus 4 is so hard to get hold of. Some reports have speculated that LG simply cannot produce enough to meet the overwhelming demand, while others claim Google just didn’t order enough in the first place. LG has finally begun rolling out its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Optimus G, almost seven months after Google first announced the platform update. The update is currently reaching handsets in South Korea on the SK Telecom network, but those in the United States shouldn’t have to wait too long for it. As you’d expect, this release brings a number of new features that will significantly improve the performance and user experience of your handset.

Chinese electronics maker Oppo unveiled the Find 5, its latest flagship smartphone back in December, and it’s set to make its debyt in China later this month. The device will be available to pre-order from January 15, priced at ¥2,998 (approx. $485), and it’ll arrive on January 29. The handset is then expected to make its way to Europe and North America soon after.
