The latest commercial for the Optimus G Pro starts as a homage to Apple’s iPhone 5 ad, “Cheese!”, which famously advertised iOS 6’s Panorama functionality.

Man, though, does LG one-up Apple in this advertisement, not only showing how the Optimus G Pro can create a 180 degree panorama of a scene… you can actually use the camera to stitch together a full 360 panorama as well, which LG calls a VR Panorama.

LG-Optimus-G-Pro

LG announced its super-sized Optimus G Pro last week, a 5.5-inch handset that’s coming to do battle with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The device will be coming to Korea this week, the company has now confirmed, before making its way to North America during Q2 2013.

In addition to its impressive 1080p display, the Optimus G Pro will also be the first smartphone to offer a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, which is the successor to the popular Snapdragon S4 Pro.

Nexus-4

Android 4.2.2 has been rolling out to a number of Nexus devices this week, and today it has popped up on the LG Nexus 4 for the first time. It brings all of the changes and improvements that the other devices are getting, and addresses a trick that allowed users to activate LTE on the device.

Optimus_L_Series_II_1_L7_L5_L3

Mobile World Congress is right around the corner, but it appears some manufacturers simply cannot wait to show you their latest offerings. LG has this morning announced its new Optimus L Series II family, which includes three devices called the L3II, the L5II, and the L7II. They range in size from 3.2 inches to 4.3 inches, and it’ll be the the largest model, the L7II, that is available first.

LG is expected to announce a number of new devices at Mobile World Congress later this month, one of which could be the LG E435, an entry-level smartphone with dual-SIM capabilities that looks pretty miniature in comparison with the rest of today’s devices. The handset has already shown its face, its back end, and its innards in a number of leaked photographs that began circulating this weekend.
