Google has begun rolling out a security update to LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus (GSM) smartphones running the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software. The update is arriving over-the-air with the “JWR66Y” build number, and it is expected to address the latest Android security vulnerabilities.

The HTC One Max has already been pictured a number of times ahead of its official debut, but the latest leaked shot is a little more interesting than the others. It appears to show a fingerprint sensor beneath the handset’s rear-facing camera, which HTC has reportedly added late into development following reports that the iPhone 5S will offer the same feature.

Following LG’s announcement in July, notifying consumers that it would be removing the word “Optimus” from the names of its upcoming flagship devices and replacing it with the letter G, there has been a lot of speculation suggesting that we could be seeing a new high-end Android tablet – dubbed the G Pad – which is due to be unveiled next month at the IFA in Berlin.

According to a recent report printed by a Chinese publication, next year’s replacement for the Nexus 4 will be manufactured by LG with its designs being based around the electronic giants recently announced G2.

The LG Vu II, with its rather odd 4:3 aspect ratio, is one of the most unique Android-powered phablets on the market. And it’s likely to retain that title when the Vu III launches later this year, according to leaked specifications that have surfaced in Asia.

In addition to a 4:3 display, this time with a higher resolution, the Vu III is expected to offer the latest Snapdragon 800 processor, and LTE-Advanced technology.
