Facebook Home, the Android launcher from Facebook that you’ve probably forgotten about by now, has been updated to support Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, and Tumblr integration — allowing users to see posts and photos from these services on their lock screen.

The popular Android homescreen launcher, Buzz Launcher, has kicked off a new competition to help continue the growth of its product. The app’s developers are sponsoring a contest for designers and users (dubbed Buzzers) to design, rate, and share their favourite homescreen designs.

Facebook has quietly added support for the HTC One, the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Sony Xperia ZL, and other Android smartphones to its new Facebook Home launcher. The update comes after the social network announced it had seen over 1 million downloads of Facebook Home following its launch on April 22.

Despite support for just a small handful of Android smartphones, Facebook Home has already surpassed half a million downloads in just nine days. The new launcher first became available to download through Google Play on April 12, and it appears those with supported devices are keen to try it out.

Facebook has announced that Facebook Home is set to rollout internationally, following its debut in the U.S. on April 12. The purpose of the short U.S exclusivity was to ensure that any bugs and issues were ironed out before the new launcher went global.
