LG G2 Snap

A number of Android smartphone makers — including HTC, Motorola, and even Sony — have all announced their Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade plans for their latest flagship devices, but we haven’t yet heard anything official from LG regarding the G2.

But according to one LG Canada representative, the handset will receive the latest version of Android in “late Q1” 2014.

Lately, Motorola has been making all the right moves that a consumer could hope and wish for from an OEM. The company managed to update the Moto X to KitKat on all the major carriers in the U.S. last week itself, and then, decided to ease up the warranty rules on its developer edition devices.

Now, the company will be offering an absolutely stellar deal on the unlocked Moto X on Cyber Monday, making the handset irresistible.

Sony has always been slow in updating their devices to the latest version of Android. While Motorola has already updated the Moto X to KitKat, OEMs like HTC and Samsung have promised to update their flagship devices to KitKat by January end. Sony, on the other hand, has only confirmed the devices that would be getting the KitKat update.
